Two board members attended the 05/13/25 People of Wekiwa Springs (POWS) monthly meeting.
The main topic at the meeting was around grants.
Seina Gilman and Alex Orellana from the Neighborhood Grants Program explained the different grants available for different neighborhoods. Because Bentley Woods is an HOA community, we would be able to request a Neighborhood Beautification Grant, which is a matching grant of 50 percent for up to $15,000. Funding sources for this money are from multiple resources including the local, county and state municipalities.
This type of grant would allow us grant money that matches our money spent up to $15,000.
This would be something to consider as we strive to maintain a positive balance in our HOA account and is another reason to continue having extra money in our HOA bank account.
